Madoka Ozawa is a Japanese AV idol and V-Cinema actress who has been called "a very popular ... AV actress in the late 1990s". She became known as the number one AV idol of 1997 after every video she released during her debut year became a hit, Madoka Ozawa was born 3 March 1978 in Tokyo and made her AV debut with the Media Station Cosmos Plan label in December 1996. Her debut video, Pure Love, consisted of four sex scenes. Her next video, 18 Dreams (January 1997) opens with Ozawa discussing her future in an interview and while walking through streets and posing. The video continues with a scene in which Ozawa is fondled by an actor. The final third of the video has more interview, and moves on to a sex scene.

In 1997 she also appeared in a mainstream movie, the Hong Kong sex comedy (also released as a DVD) Do not Tell My Partner where she plays the sexy new girl in the office, "Nancy Lee". Ozawa made several more adult videos for Cosmos Plan before moving on to another major studio, h.m.p. From early 1999 she was also working with Alice Japan and with Atlas21 where she made Legend Of An AV Idol in May 1999. This was a documentary-style AV supposedly describing Ozawa adolescence, her early sex-life, and the story of how she became an AV queen.
